How does CanadianNanny.ca work:
CanadianNanny.ca is an online job posting service designed to assist Canadian families in finding a nanny. We are different than a placement agency in that we do not hire or screen individuals and place them with your family, but give you access to a database full of qualified nannies across Canada.
The only cost to use the service is the subscription to post your profile and have unlimited messaging and calling with the nannies. We have a Monthly, a Quarterly, and a VIP Yearly subscription. The VIP subscription includes payroll and screening services, as well as unlimited access to our top 5 care sites, Sitter.com, Housekeeper.com, PetSitter.com, HouseSitter.com, and ElderCare.com.
All subscriptions automatically renew whether it is the monthly, quarterly, or yearly plan. However, you can cancel and modify your subscription at any time directly through your Settings page when logged in.
Get started:
To get started, visit CanadianNanny.ca and click on "Get Started". Next, follow the steps to create your profile describing your needs. Once registered, your information will be listed for nannies to see when they are searching for work in your area, and you will be able to contact them directly.
We usually recommend families begin their search 1-3 months in advance to allow a sufficient amount of time to find the right caregiver. You will generally see the most response to your ad within the first six weeks of your posting.
Extra stuff:
You will be responsible for paying the nanny directly. Pay is always negotiable between you and the nanny but should be equal to or greater than the minimum wage of your province or territory — compensation for any special skills and experience they may have should also be kept in mind.
