How do I get paid once I find a job?

If you have found a job and are wondering how to get paid, this is something that is entirely up to you and your employer.

CareGuide simply provides the platform for you to connect with one another online in a safe and secure environment. As such, we do not assist in the payment process once you have found a job, nor do we take any portion of the profits you would make as a care provider hired through our site.

There are many ways to be paid for your services, including cash, cheque, Interac e-Transfer, and direct deposit - to name a few.

Our recommendation is that you discuss the options you are most comfortable using with your employer so that you have an understanding of how to proceed. On top of that we suggest having this information in writing so that you are both held accountable for either the services provided or the pay owed. For more information on what to include in a potential contract, see here: Do I need to sign a contract?

Additionally, if you will be working with your employer on a more regular or long-term basis, we do have a payroll service that can take care of all this for you so you don't have to worry about collecting your pay from your employer yourself. For more information, please see our Heart Payroll website to see if it is a good fit for you and your employer.
